|WANT TO RIDE A PB IN TAUPO?
Gordon McCauley has ridden the Contact Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge more times than he cares to remember. On most of those circuits he’s been smashing it on the front with the elites – knocking out the 160km course in less than four hours.
But last year he took a different approach – riding with bunches of the cyclists he coaches through GMC Coaching to help them achieve PBs, with one group aiming to go under 5 hours and the other to break 4:30. Both bunches achieved their goals and, in doing so, highlighted what he believes it takes for the weekend
