Keen..thought i might just whimp out and go and get a good lashing with the "cat of Nine tails" instead, then let someone drag me back home behind their car.......are you serious...?...............no wonder you ride so dam fast..
It's just base miles. Strengthened legs and mind. I did 6.30 with a lot of solo riding in front of a guy I know, (Domestique duties)
Wattage was fairly high during K2 but I seemed to hold it all together and I think this training block was the reason for this.
Only did minimal riding including the Waihi gold rush with Dean. 320kms or so. Good consistent pace.
Not so much a challenge but just something to do...
Just wondering if it quelled some of your enjoyment for riding afterwards, or desire to go riding? Is that the reason for the minimal riding you did? I mean I look forward to each days riding, but like eating too much of something, it could kind of take away from the enjoyment for eating from the same plate?
personaly, i can think of far better thngs to do than 5 laps over 5 days, but i am sure you wil enjoy it Nick. ..... but i would be keen to do what Gary sugested and ride to coro, then do a K2 loop... get hold of me Gary, lets sort something ..
